X-PORT+ CHARGE CONTROLLER

X-PORT+ is an X-PORT split charge controller combined with an intelligent alternator charge/boost controller. The unit can control 1 or 2 independent alternators and up to 3 separate battery banks. The independent alternator control circuit allows both positive and negative types of alternator to be used simultaneously.The split charge controller is capable of handling charging currents up to 150A per channel in dual input mode or 200A in single input mode (negative earth system only).

The X-PORT+ incorporates a program which will select the best charge routine based on the charge state of the batteries at initial switch on.

On dual alternator input systems each alternator has its own background alarm routine.

User selection of the three main battery types: lead acid, gel & agm. 12 or 24v. Please specify when ordering.

Suitable for most types of alternators, including battery sensed versions, normal battery chargers with or without an incorporated multi output facility, on-board auxiliary generators, solar cell chargers, towed generators etc. They are ideal for use with solar cells and wind generators where virtually all the developed power is transferred from charging source into the batteries. All units can be used on standard machine sensed alternators without modification.

At max current the loss is less than 400mV and decreases to as little as 50mV as charging current decreases. No charge back feed unlike a relay system. A single unit required for twin charging inputs.

The rating is dependent on the capability of the charging source, not the size of batteries. When used in conjunction with battery sensed chargeres, some form of voltage feedback will be required.
